Diego-Suarez, Nossi-Be, Majunga (3), and Fort Dauphin. $175

SEA CHART
111. Norie, J. W., Hydrographer &c. A New Chart of the Isle of France or
Mauritius (London, 1832). A very striking blueback chart measuring 38 x
26 inches. On the right (ca. 40% of the chart) is a large map of Isle de
France with soundings, great internal detail of the island, compass
rose, a fine cartouche, etc. The left 60% of the chart consists of 4
large maps: to the left, The Island of Rodrigues, and The Island of
Bourbon; and in the center, a Plan of Port Louis, and a Plan of Port
Bourbon. Sailing directions are printed in the insets, all five maps
have considerable internal of coastal details, and the chart is lined
along the top with recognition views. This is a beautiful chart in very
good condition. $1750
